UMJ KKN Students Help Baznas RI Reach Zakat Target of 18.3 Trillion
UMJ students who undertake Real Work Lectures (KKN) at the office of the National Zakat Agency of the Republic of Indonesia ( RI) are considered very competent and creative in their work. They even helped BAZNAS RI in the process of achieving the zakat collection target of 18.3 trillion by the end of August 2023.
This was emphasized by the Deputy Head of BAZNAS RI, M. Arifin Purwakananta, at the closing ceremony of the UMJ KKN at the BAZNAS RI office, Matraman, Jakarta, on Friday (9/9/2023). Regarding satisfaction with the performance of the KKN students, Arifin also invited UMJ students who had completed KKN to apply for jobs at the Central or regional BAZNAS offices.
Meanwhile, CFRM Director of National Fundraising BAZNAS RI, Fitriansyah Agus Setiawan, also said the same thing. He praised the creativity of UMJ students in the IT field while working in the field of Zakat collection at BAZNAS RI.
In this KKN program in collaboration with BAZNAS RI, UMJ sent 15 students who were placed in places appropriate to their study program. There are those on duty at the Mustahik service office, BAZNAS Micro Finance, Health, and Email Data Base Cleansing Management Collection. There, students implement the knowledge gained on campus and experience the real world of work. All KKN participants are also involved in capita selecta activities regarding zakat and zakat management.
Chair of LPPM UMJ who is also a Field Supervisor, Prof. Dr. Tri Yuni Hendrawati, expressed her gratitude to BAZNAS RI for making KKN activities a pilot project for collaboration between BAZNAS RI and other campuses. Tri Yuni also hopes that the collaboration with BAZNAS RI can be continued with several other programs, such as the 20 credits Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) program at BAZNAS RI, the innovation program in the Kedai Reka Matching Fund, and the internship program with UMJ.
Responding to this, the Head of the National BAZNAS collection strengthening division, Ahmad Badrun Kosasih, hopes that the UMJ KKN cooperation pilot project with BAZNAS RI can be implemented by Regional BAZNAS to collaborate with various universities in various fields. In the closing ceremony of KKN at BAZNAS RI, students participating in KKN officially received KKN certificates from BAZNAS RI as recognition and appreciation for their performance while carrying out KKN.
